Configuration Clinical Lab Values Print E-mail

In this tutorial, you will learn about Configuration Clinical Lab Values

View the tutorial video.

Clinical lab values are used in patient growth progression evaluation.

Abbott Nutrition assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of laboratory test results entered into the program, or for clinical decisions based on these results, whether the values are within or beyond the High and Low values listed in the program or substituted or added by the user.

You may prefer to add tests other than those listed based on frequency of performance or usefulness in your NICU. Since NEONOVA can store only one value for each named field per day, you can list the same test several times on the Configure Screen if you anticipate the need to store multiple test results.

Caution Changes in Configure should be made carefully and only after discussion among all personnel who will use output from the program. All changes in Configure should be made by the System Manager and carefully documented.

Warning DO NOT Change the significance content of an existing variable once you have started to use and make entries in Neonova’s Patient Action day.  Create a completely new variable.

Caution After entering patient data that are to be saved, do not delete, substitute, or insert tests. Doing so could result in mismatched test names and test results for Patient Day Records already in existence. However, tests can be added to the end of the list in Configure without disrupting previously entered Patient Day Records.

IMPORTANT:  Clinical lab values are some of the most important configuration elements and should not be changed.
