In this tutorial, you will learn about Growth Curve Report

View the tutorial video.

The Growth Curves feature enables you to graph the patient’s anthropometric data against reference curves for different categories of infants.
The reference curves enable you to compare a patient’s data against different types of reference data to more thoroughly evaluate growth.
Several sets of anthropometric reference curves are provided for weight, length, and head circumference. The source of the reference data appears on graphs displayed on the screen and on printed graphs. Information on the origins of the anthropometric reference curves is provided in the cited publications. The System Manager can add anthropometric reference curves to NEONOVA.

Caution Growth curves can assist in spotting deviations from expected patterns but should not be considered as absolute targets for growth.

From the Nursery main form :

The following window is a parameter features selection:

Show numeric values
When checked, this will include all data used to populate charts.

Show marks
When checked, this will display values associated to dots.  Useful when few values are involved.  When dots are close, an overlapping effect may be worse than having no information.

Filter:  none or only Fenton
Shortcut to have only Fenton’s curve in selection or the whole set of possibilities.

Only Fenton:

None:

Graph size: 1 graph/page, 2 graphs/page, 3 graphs/page

Allows charts placement on one or several pages.  This will also influence the graph size.

1 graph per page:

2 graphs per page:

3 graphs/page:

Curve style:  line or dot
Line will have all dots linked together with a line, dot will only plot dots without any line.

    Line style                                                               Dot style

X-axis:  Age or Corrected Age

X-axis unit will use Real Age or Corrected Age.

A Curve selection allows the user to choose from different pre-configured growth curves:

Just right of the Curve name, the Anthropometric variable in use is displayed.

Hint In Configure, System Managers can add additional anthropometric reference data. If some of the included sets of reference curves are not needed, they can be deleted. However, data should not be changed because this will modify the curves and possibly affect conclusions about  patients’ growth.
